Delhi University’s School of Open Learning (SOL) has opened the 2025–26 admission cycle with a bang: more than 15,000 applicants signed up in just the first four days, underscoring the growing appetite for flexible, distance-learning options. SOL Director Prof. Payal Mago called the early surge “a heartening vote of confidence” in the school’s revamped, tech-driven approach to higher education.
Two-Step Application Timeline
-
Phase 1 (now live): Students create an account at sol.du.ac.in and secure an interim seat by uploading basic details and documents.
-
Phase 2 (opens 10 June): Applicants lock in (or change) their programme preferences once final Class 12 and undergraduate marks are available.
This staggered calendar lets students avoid last-minute scrambles while still updating choices after results are declared.
